A Progress Update

I figured since I’d been at this writing thing for just over a week, it was time for a progress update. 🙂

It’s nice to be able to set my own schedule. I do try to get out of the house at least once a day. And I’ve started forcing myself to work out again. I dusted off my 10-minute workout DVD yesterday and did abs and arms. I should have done thighs and butt today but I had sort of a MEH day. I threw dinner in the crockpot yesterday, too.

I am pleased to report that I managed to write a 12,000 words novella in about three days. It still needs some polishing but it should be ready for submission very soon. I actually like that story quite a bit. I took an old short story I’d written in 2006 and completely revamped it. I’m trying to come up with some ideas for some other novellas that I can write quickly and get out. Plus, I have a short novel I need to rewrite and the third Knight book to write. So I have lots of projects going on.

The problem is I’m a Gemini. And I have a short attention span. And I tend to focus on one thing at a time until I get bored and want to do something else. That’s when I do promo stuff or blog. Which reminds me – if you want to be a guest here, I would love to have you. Email me, k?

So I’m making progress while be unemployed (I wonder how long it’ll be before I stop saying that…maybe when I make enough money that I don’t have to worry about it?)

Anyway, time to get back at it today. I have more characters to torture after all.
