May 2, 2005
The May newsletter is mailed! What a relief.
I’m so behind on the serials, it’s pathetic. Not even ONE issue ahead. I haven’t even caught up on my favorite blogs and I didn’t even post a message yesterday.
I guess I’ve been busy.
I managed to write two issues of the romance and one and a half issues of the adventure. At least that’s something. At least I’ve finally managed to crank something out. Last night was productive. I got DS to bed early (and asleep - a feat) and then put the headphones on and wrote. I do much better with good music playing in the background. Lately, I’ve been writing well to the soundtrack from National Treasure.
I still feel like my muse is out drinking martinis, but at least I’m writing.
I have one of those ergonomic split keyboards at work. At first, I hated it but now it’s starting to grow on me. I really think it’s actually helping the old carpel tunnel pain in the left wrist. The only thing I don’t like about it is the delete key and the right arrow key stick. I use these far too much to have them stick, so I’m hoping I can switch it out for another one, even if it’s a regular keyboard.
Designed a cover and some tabs for the proposal I’m helping with that’s out Wednesday. I’m signed up for the InDesign class on the 12th and 13th.
It’s quiet tonight. Very still. There’s not even the usual cacophony of crickets. It’s almost eerie. It’s cool too - about 52 degrees. The high today was only 63. Very unseasonable for the first part of May. Suppose to be this way again tomorrow and we may get some rain. This is my favorite weather. I hope it stays like this for a while yet.
Still waiting on concrete. I’m about ready to tell the guy nevermind. *grr*
| Your Birthdate: May 27 |
|
Your birth on the 27th day of the month (9 energy) adds a tone of selflessness and humanitarianism to your life path.
Certainly, you are one who can work very well with people, but at the same time you need a good bit of time to be by yourself to rest and meditate. There is a very humanistic and philanthropic approach in most of things that you do. This birthday helps you be broadminded, tolerant, generous and very cooperative. You are the type of person who uses persuasion rather than force to achieve your ends. You tend to be very sensitive to others’ needs and feelings, and you able to give much in the way of friendship without expecting a lot in return. |
