Movie Quote of the Day:
“Okay. I think I have a plan here. Using mainly spoons, we dig a tunnel under the city and release it into the wild.”
–Mike Wazowski, Monster, Inc.
Man in Progress
From my three-yr-old son: “Mommy, can I see what’s in your shirt?â€
*sigh*
Men.
American Idol
I have mixed emotions about last night’s show. On the one hand, I still love Bo. However, I did not like his first song. It didn’t sound so good to me. His second song “Vehicle†rocked. Oh yeah, he was totally hot on that one. The third was just okay for me.
Carrie was about the same. Her first song was rather weak. The second was okay and the third actually blew me away. I thought she sang that one much better than Bo.
I love them both. I would be happy if either one of them won. They both deserved to win and be in the finals.
Aw hell, I’ll buy BOTH their CDs.
Rob and Amber
They are so two minutes ago. I am so sick of them I could just hurl. Not only did they get tons of money from Survivor fame, but they came in second on Amazing Race and got a nice chunk of change from that as well. And their wedding is paid for in the Bahamas. Can they just PLEASE go away? I can’t stand people who flaunt their money like that. I work my ass off for everything I have and it makes me sick to see people just toss out the dough like it’s nothing.
Now I hear they may get a reality TV show. PUH-LEASE.
Why do people continue to give them ratings? Is CBS really hurting for ratings that badly? And just how long do you think that marriage is going to last? Until the money runs out? So they are “in loveâ€. Big deal. People fall in love every friggin day. But those people don’t get freebie weddings in the Bahamas.
(And no, I didn’t watch if, if that’s what you’re wondering. I just heard about how “wonderful†it was at the office water cooler.)
On To Writing
I wrote a half of an issue of Ransom & Fortune yesterday. That was it. I intended to write last night. I really did. Instead, I ended up watching North by Northwest. Great movie. I hadn’t seen it in a while and had forgotten how terrific it was. I love Cary Grant. He’s so… suave and smooth and classy. But I have to say that I felt cheated at the very end when he’s trying to rescue Eva Marie Saint from falling off of Mount Rushmore and they cut to him pulling her up on the train bed. CHEATED. I wanted to see how he rescued her.
Anyway… I’ve been toying with several different stories in progress. All romantic fantasy. I have about three started. I need to focus on one and just start writing. I’ve been thinking that I might try to trick myself into thinking that it’s a serial. That might force me to write every day.
HA. I know me. I won’t. But I still would like to get busy on a new WIP. I have too many ideas cluttering up my head. I need to write them all down on a slip of paper, put them in a hat, close my eyes, and pick.
Yeah. That sounds good.

Well at least your son never said VERY loudly in the middle of church while he was sitting on your lap facing your chest:
MOM, THOSE ARE YOUR BOOBS!!!”
(I think the family sitting behind us still hasn’t recovered…)
