Quote Du Jour:
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;
I will choose a path that’s clear
I will choose freewill.
–Rush, Freewill
A déjà vu. Wow. I just had the weirdest feeling as I was sitting her at my desk eating pretzel sticks and writing an issue of Ransom & Fortune. It’s like I’ve done it all before. Freaky. Stuff like that always weirds me out.
Anyhoo… I am so totally pumped! I joined the 13 Traveling Journals project my friend, Devon is running. I’ll be third in line for the Fronds of Thought Journal and should be receiving it sometime in September. I can’t wait! I’m really looking forward to seeing this and doing it. The brain is already working on what I can add to the journal. Hey, I might even write some poetry! Really bad poetry, but poetry nonetheless. LOL If you haven’t check out the project, do. It sounds really awesome. Everyone should consider this venture!
Whew.. this morning was hectic. Finished up that proposal and got it delivered to the city. While I was out, I ran by the doctor’s office to request shot records for my son since we’re enrolling him in preschool. A day spa is being built across the street from the doctor’s office. HOORAY! I’m so excited! Then had to run home and get my thumb drive because I feel so naked without it. It’s like leaving the house and forgetting my pants or something. Got back to the office to relax. Damn is it ever hot out there.
As far as writing goes, I managed to eek out another issue of Ransom & Fortune. Oh, and my press release came out today! You can read it here. It’s promoting my time travel adventure serial, so I’m hoping that it will generate a lot of response. I’m running a contest to give away free monthly subscriptions to go hand-in-hand with the press release (details on my website here).
I’ve officially launched the other website, the one featuring my nom de plume (I just love saying that) and you can see it here, if you feel so inclined. I will be overhauling my other site in the next few days. I hope to have it up and running by the 4th of July.
And interesting searches linking to the blog:
Jake Gyllenhaal valid phone information
(wow, someone wants him BAD)
Manolo blankie
(they spelled it wrong..haha)
Chad Kroeger gets married
(who knew?)
That’s it for today folks. Tomorrow I will post Colin’s interview questions. Stay tuned!
Here are the rules: If you feel like playing, leave me a comment asking to be interviewed!
1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.â€
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
1. When you get a critique on your work and you don’t like what the reviewer has to say, how do you handle it?
2. What is your biggest creative challenge?
3. When you get fired up about a new project, how long does it take you to complete it from start to finish?
4. How many novels have you completed, which is your favorite, and why? (HA, I copied Jen on that one…)
5. What is the one writing tool you absolutely cannot live without?
