Quote Du Jour:
“Bring it on. I prefer a straight fight to all this sneaking around.â€
–Han Solo, Star Wars (Episode IV)
I should be tired today, but I’m not. My brain was on overload when I tried to go to sleep last night.
A situation arose at the office yesterday and, without going in to detail, suffice it to say there were potentially slanderous comments made to me. I refuse to sit by while some pompous jackass disparages my work ethic. I’m damn good at what I do and I always get my work done. And besides that, I will not sit by while he tries to go around the system, simply because he doesn’t like a certain someone and doesn’t want to work with that someone.
I worked for the Boss From Hell for two years. I’m not going through this again. I’m not going to sit idly by while I get pushed around and dumped on. F-that.
I talked with a trusted friend and got some advice. I took action this morning. Let the chips fall where they may. I’m not some bimbo that will sit here and take. I’m a hot-head with a backbone.
I guess I’m still riled up about it.
I was last night too. So much so that I wrote FOUR issues of the romance serial in about an hour. The brain was flying and my fingers could barely keep up. And I type 100 wpm. Funny, because I couldn’t get myself to write the romance for anything in the world earlier this week.
And then I got on the phone and yakked for about an hour.
Made some more edits on the WIP and got about 2000 words total on it yesterday. I’m up to 27,256 now. I feel very close to this story as well as the characters. They have really developed a life of their own and it’s exciting.
