New Regiment!
August 8, 2005
Quote du Jour:
You’re mocking me, aren’t you?
–Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story
Today I start a new regiment. I AM GOING TO GO WORK OUT.
I’ve been feeling tired lately and having chest pain. I think I’m getting an ulcer. Coffee gives me indigestion. Ridiculous. So I’ve started taking Zantac to help with that and while I was at the drug store, I got a good multivitamin. I started taking that, too. I figured if I start working out, I will have (a) more energy; (b) feel better about myself; (c) maybe lose this awful fat roll in my middle. One can hope.
So that’s what I’m going to do starting today. I have my gym bag in the car; I’ve made arrangements with my in-laws for DS. I even brought my book so I can read it while walking on the treadmill.
DH is off to DC this week. The airport was a ZOO this morning. Talk about a gaggle of people. SHEESH. We always walk through Security (outside the ropes) with DH when he’s checking in. This morning, there was a lady who was quite distraught at seeing her loved one go off. She was weeping. DH asked me if I ever cry when he leaves. I laughed and told him no, that I jump for joy.
Anyway… DS and I hung around and watched him go through security. We waved bye and then headed back home so I could get ready for work (the horror). And speaking of work, I’ve been stressing myself out about NOTHING. I worried all weekend about something that doesn’t make a hill of beans. Probably another reason why I have chest pain. And another reason why I’m going to start working out. I need to release the stress and that will be a good healthy outlet. And I’m tired of being FAT (as opposed to PHAT .. haha).
:smokin:
And here’s some linkages. I’m the featured diarist over at 13 Traveling Journals. Check it out by clicking here and read my opinions on romance writing. For what their worth (which ain’t much).
My daddy is honored on the WWII memorial. You can see that here. I miss him. I must have been thinking about him quite at lot this weekend, because I dreamed about him. In the dream, we saw each other, but never spoke. I know that means something when you dream about loved ones who are gone, but I don’t have a dream interpretation book to check it out. (Note to self: look this up).
Please see below for some humorous photos. They make me chuckle every time I see them.
No writing this weekend, as was expected. But, hey, I tried. I opened the WIP and the stalled issue 113 of Ransom & Fortune several times. Stared at the blank screen, managed to write about 50 words on the adventure serial and that was it. Pathetic.
I gotta get more done this week. I’m about to be grossly behind on the adventure. And there’s no excuse for that since the romance has been finished.
