Quote du Jour:
“I’m not bad. I’m just drawn that way.â€
–Jessica Rabbit, Who Framed Roger Rabbit
There’s just something about the first cup of coffee for the day. It’s like it warms you right all the way down to your toes. De-lish.
Worked out last night. It was great. Walked the treadmill for about 15 minutes and then moved to the bike for 15 minutes. Read my book the entire time and I have to say that it made the workout fly by. Ran to pick up DS and then went home and ate two corny dogs (bad diet, I know) while he watched The Inredibles.
I feel so much better about myself. Physically and mentally. I feel refreshed and like I have more energy. Just the things I wanted. Of course, when I mentioned it to DH this morning on the phone, he said, “I told you so.â€
Stayed up late last night. I have completed the first three chapters of a new short contemporary novel I’m working on. Woo! So far just under 5000 words. I upped the goal from 35K to 40K because I think I’m going to enter it in a contest. If I can get the first three chapters polished up enough to send. And I’ll have a to write a synopsis (EEK I hate those things. I suck at them).
So anyway.. I’m excited about this new project. More so than the medieval (which is still in the works. I really need to finish that). I’m also doing something totally different – I’m writing in the order of the story. Instead of sporadic scenes. :wigglebrow:
And as far as the serial goes…what’s that? Bad me. I haven’t written a word on the current issue I need to be writing. Been too distracted with this other stuff.
So.. rejection… Ha! I laugh in the face of rejection!
Let’s see…what else? I have no idea. The kiddo is trying to get sick. He’s been feeling puny these last few nights with a slight fever. And he’s stopped up. DH is sick too. At least he’s in DC and can’t share his germ with me.
Well.. it’s off to work I go.
