I crashed hard and fast last night after a rousing game of Chutes & Ladders with the kiddo. Of course, I let him win. And he was cute about it, too.

Well, I did it. I bought the boots I was hot to have through the Victoria’s Secret catalogue. WHY do they do that to me? Why do they send me “The Shoe Book”? Because they know I’m weak. That’s why. They know I will succumb to temptation and buy those boots I’ve been eyeing for the last two weeks.

So I did. They’ll be here Tuesday. WOO!

I love fall/winter. It’s hands down my favorite time of year. I have THE BEST wardrobe that time of year, too. I get to pull out all my sweaters and boots. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. And these new boots will be FABO with my favorite skirt. Can’t wait to wear it.

On to other things. I have been less than productive in the writing world. I haven’t even bothered to TRY to write. It’s a blockage thing. Still thinking about Talk Dirty To Me in the hands of an editor. I just keep thinking they HAVE to love it. And the waiting is killing me. By Monday, it will have been two weeks. Not that I’m counting or anything.

Hopefully I will have renewed energy once the weekend has come and gone. I’m going to a retreat starting Friday and will be home Sunday morning. I’m SO looking forward to it. Should be great fun. I won’t have Internet access or anything for the weekend, which is a good thing. I need to be unplugged for a while and concentrate on other things. I need to write. I’ve got to get myself out of this ridiculous funk.

So… everyone have a great weekend. I’ll be back to blog-world possibly Sunday afternoon. Husband flies off to DC/Little Rock for the week, so perhaps I can get some writing done while he’s away. :wave:
