TGIF

Quote of the Day:
“Not many men have both good fortune and good sense.â€
–Titus Livy (BC 59-17 AD), Roman Historian
:wtf:
I had a great entry already started but lost it all. Dangit. So let’s see if I can recreate it again (doubt it).
TGIF! Is it me or do the weeks just seem to get longer and longer? It’s probably just me.
Tonight I’m taking Sweetie Boy to Applebee’s (his request) and then we’re going to do a bit of shopping at Best Buy and possibly even the mall. I have some reward certificates for Best Buy I’d need to use before they expire. I also still have my DSW reward certificate and a gift card that is burning a hole in my pocket. I don’t know when I’ll have the chance to use them since I can’t really take husband and son with me. Son gets ancy while shopping for shoes and husband is just bored and annoyed. Not that I can blame them. I like to take my time when it comes to DSW by walking up and down every aisle and then carefully selecting the shoes I’m going to try on. It’s a long process and one that does not need to involve boys.
Anyway – work continues on the Winter Rose contest. We had a nice turn out for e-submissions – 59 entries. Now it’s on the phase where we submit them to the judges for scoring.
And why is it always freezing here in the office? Even when it’s 100 degrees outside, I freeze to death in here.
I’m disappointed in myself. I haven’t finished chapter four of the historical this week like I wanted to. What is wrong with me? I just can’t seem to focus. I had one good writing day and that was Saturday. I just need to clear my head, sit down, get into the story once again and just write. That sounds so easy but I still struggle with it. It’s getting ridiculous.
Happy Friday, ya’ll.

I find that when a wip sours for me, I give it a day or two, and start reading from the beginning, pretending it’s a novel I picked up at the bookstore. I have fresher eyes and I usually get all excited about it again and start adding to it, (after I’ve corrected all the glaring errors I couldn’t see before because I was too “close” to it.)
Works like a charm, every time. :yeahbaby:

Honey i have a feeling it might be real life (IE the contest) intruding.
Be kind to yourself.
