Spring?
March 22, 2006
Quote of the Day:
A balanced diet is having chocolate in both hands.
What happened to spring? It’s COLD out there! Very unseasonable for this time of year for sure. BRR!
LOST is a new episode tonight. They better not piss me off. :hehe:
I worked on Season 2 of the serial, reading and editing. I thought this would be simple, just revising the former KIC version, but I’m starting to realize I need more story to each issue. And I need to speed up the romance between Skye and Dane. So I’ll be doing some rewriting on that this week (this WEEK? The week is half over already!). I want to stay ahead of the game on the serial because falling behind is a VERY bad thing. (I’m still in love with this story.) So I worked on that all night last night after making spaghetti and meatballs.
And I have to say – I used my Sysenlaw’s recipe for meatballs and they were quite tasty.
Anyway, I have committed to my writing partners to have the first chapter of Nice Girls Do completely revised, too. Whew. That’s a lot of writing. Hopefully I can get some of it done today after getting the serial in order. I have to remind myself it doesn’t have to be a perfect draft, I just need to barf the words out on paper.
I have to admit, it’s nice to have some accountability for my writing. Without my friends pushing me to continue to write, I wouldn’t be writing at all. This is a very good thing.
I’m thinking about getting MAGIC in shape, too, for Inara. It wouldn’t take a lot if I could get focused long enough to do it and GET IT DONE. I have so much I want to do and so little time it seems.
Got an email from my editor at Samhain. Talk Dirty To Me is at the line editor and almost ready for formatting for publication. WA-HOO! I can’t wait to get my cover art for that one too so I can continue to annoy all my friends.
Okay gotta run. Time to take on the day.

I have no writer friends who live here. Man, count your blessings! That is awesome.

I”m almost tempted to skip Lost and wait for it to come out on DVD……And can I say how glad I am that Prison Break is back on? :hyper:
Cold is an understatement (unless you’re from canada then this is just a normal spring day LOL). I had to have the heat on!

You made homemade meatballs? I’m impressed. My grandmother used to make them and knew exactly how many she made. It was nothing for her to fry up about 100-150 in this huge pot of spaghetti sauce. Me? I use frozen ones. Someone had to make them. Just not me.

Oh man, the last time I attempted meatballs… well, let’s just say we don’t speak of it, and I’m still off beef.
You’re a braver gal than me, taking on the day!
