I’ve been having problems getting to sleep lately. And it’s not that I’m not tired because I am. I’m exhausted by the end of the night and just want to crash. But I guess it’s because the brain won’t turn off that I lay awake for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Sucks big time because then I’m so tired in the morning I don’t want to get out of bed. Hate it. Last night, I decided to have the night off from writing or even trying to write. I needed to give my creative brain a rest and recharge. So I picked up some Chinese food, went home, and watched Someone Like You with Hugh Jackman, Ashley Judd, and Greg Kinear. Cute movie. I had seen it before. It hit home a little bit for me after watching it and was sort of counter-productive. I was almost depressed. Almost. As the credits started to roll my phone rang and it was a good friend of mine. I don’t think she was able to get a word in edgewise since I talked almost nonstop. Maybe I was starved for female companionship. Or that I just needed to talk to someone about stuff that’s been on my mind. I don’t know. Maybe I needed to shut up and just journal everything on my mind.Â
I did end up reading through parts of Book 2 yesterday and discovered something I had forgotten I did. It surprised me and I thought how cool it was that I managed to actually make it work. Don’t forget the Name That Book contest! Oh and I think I need to explain a little further. I have the to parts of Book 1 named – Part 1: Highland Fling and Part 2: Dead of Winter. What I’m searching for is a subtitle for the ENTIRE book. So it will be something like The Adventures of Ransom & Fortune: INSERT SUBTITLE HERE. See what I mean?Â
So far the contenders are A Bend In Time and Escape To Peril. The prize is having a character named after you in Book 2 and trust me on this – they are REALLY cool characters. :)Â
Short entry here as it’s time to get to work.Â
