The Weekend
July 24, 2006
Saturday was one of those calm days. I ran some errands and didn’t do a lot of anything. I picked up the baby that evening and we had dinner and hung out. I put him in the bath, which he proceeded to pour out of the tub. :plain:
By the end of the night, I was exhausted. I put the kiddo to bed and climbed in next to him because I couldn’t bear the thought of sleeping on the couch. As I lay there waiting for sleep to overtake me, suddenly there was a little face in mine, “Mom, what’s the cat doing?” he whispered. I assured him the cat was sleeping and he should be too. So he laid back down…and took my hand and patted it. It’s the last thing I remember before I fell asleep.
Sunday we went to Brother’s. We made a trip to B&N in their new van - it’s cool! - and then back to the house where the kids played while we recorded Episode 5 of Collective You. I gotta get the blog updated this week.
After dropping the baby off at his dad’s, I went home, cooked dinner, and watched “Pirates of the Carribbean.” I love that movie. Since I was tired - still, I headed to bed and read a little before falling asleep. Woke up at 3 am and couldn’t go back to sleep and then woke up at 5 and just as I started dozing again, my alarm went off.
So I have one of those sleep hangovers. I am in desperate need of coffee.
Tomorrow I have jury duty. I hope I don’t get picked beacuse I have a parent-teacher thing on Wednesday for my Sweetie Boy - he starts kindergarten! I can’t believe it.
Off to work now. :coffee:
