Jury Duty & #4
July 25, 2006
So today is the day I’m off to jury duty. We’ll see how it goes. I think I need the distraction from my hum-drum work day.
Logged on to the Samhain book store this morning and discovered that TALK DIRTY TO ME has risen to #4! WOOHOO! I’m very happy about that. Thank you to everyone who has made this book a success. You don’t know how much it means to me.
Yesterday was one of those emotional days. I had a hard time keeping it together until I got home from the office. Then I sort of just fell apart. There are a lot of factors here, too, making me feel this way. I also had the strangest thing happen to my left eye. After talking with my friend who’s a nurse, she said it sounded like an ocular migraine. That’s more of a relief than a detached retina! Anyway, I couldn’t see for about 20 minutes out of my left eye and I had no depth perception. It was freaking me out. I’m sure it was stress-related as I’ve been having a lot of self-induced stress.
Anyway… Today is better. At least, it has to be. I can see just fine. I don’t have the complete urge to lay in bed and pull the blankets over my head.
I’m dying for a cup of coffee. Guess I better get going so I can stop and get one before I get to the courthouse. Wish me luck.
