July 27, 2006
Yesterday afternoon, we took Sweetie Boy to his new kindergarten class to check-in and get tested. The teacher took him into another room while we waited. She emerged a few minutes later and said he did very well. She was highly impressed with what he knew. The kid is already learning math, so I’m sure he’s very ready for kindergarten. Anyway, she said one of the tests they do just to see how much the kids know, is show them punctuation marks. The baby knew a question mark, but when she asked him what a comma was, he said it was a cruton. :hehe:Â
Anyway, we mentioned to her he has amblyopia (lazy eye and the reason for the glasses)Â and she said, “Yes, he told me all about that.” LOL!
So last night I got a lot of work done and I’m very proud of myself. I even cooked dinner and it was really yummy. I haven’t actually cooked just because in a very long time. Since I’m broke and have no money, I can’t go get food and I have a pantry and fridge full anyway. AND I need leftovers for lunch tomorrow. AND I just couldn’t face a PB&J sandwich. So, I cooked. Pan-fried some thin beef cutlets, made scalloped potatoes, and red beans. Gosh, it was so good. Think this weekend when I go to the store, I’ll pick up a package of red beans and cook them all day on Sunday or something. Yum.
Anyway…
My good friend Amie Stuart is going to be over at the Aphrodesia loop tomorrow, so if you have a chance, stop by! You can get there by clicking here. You have to join but it’s instant and then you can email away.
After doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen, I wrote that article for my chapter newsletter. Then I updated the Collective You site and blog.
THEN, I stumbled across THIS and was shocked and amazed. Yes, it is yet another review! The reviewer calls it “…a delightful tale with a little bit of suspense and intrigue blended in.” Man, I have SO got to get Nice Girls Do started!
But I was a little distracted by a little something I wrote out of the blue one day.
“Hello, Marion.”
Her heart tumbled in her chest at the sound of his voice and she looked up from her magazine to confirm her suspicions. There he stood in front of her table at the Bonjour Café, looking at her with a small grin, his hands shoved deep into his jean pockets, and the sun at his back. There he was – the average man with the average looks and the average size penis that did above-average things to her. She swallowed, her mouth suddenly dry.
“Hello, Kyle,” she finally managed around the cotton on her tongue.
Marion had to admit, he looked damn fine. His dark brown hair ruffled in the breeze and his eyes still had the ability to draw her in – those beautiful chestnut brown eyes she could get lost in. He wore a white linen shirt, open at the collar to hint at the muscular chest she knew was beneath.
Anyway, the section goes on for about six pages and the tentative title is “Take Me I’m Yours” so I’m thinking I might have to abandon Nice Girls for a while and work on this instead. Especially since I’m drawing a complete blank for NGD. *sigh*
I dunno. I never know. I’m flighty like that. I’m a Gemini and I can’t seem to focus on one project at a time. Guess that’s why I usually write more than one thing at a time. And why I have a bazillion things going on at once. And why I stress myself out beyond belief. You’d think I would have learned by now, at my age, to take things ONE thing at a time. But OH NO. Not me. Gotta have a hand in every thing at once.
All right, that’s it for me. I gotta get to work. So glad it’s nearly Friday…and payday!

Yes, honey, we Geminis like to mix it up. Fun, right?

It’s bad to have only one ball in the air. Like I always say, you must obey your muse! She knows what’s best for you, and if she wants you to work on Take Me I’m Yours, you have no choice but to obey or she may stifle your creativity until you do as she says. Damn muses… so demanding and stubborn!
Congrats on yet ANOTHER fantastic review!
