Major Progress
August 2, 2006
Yesterday was a great writing day for me. I was in the zone again. You’ll notice the movement of the word meter to the right.
I wrote (drum roll please) three chapters, appoximately twenty pages, and just over 6600 words! I wrote until late last night. I wrote until my butt hurt and my fingers ached. It was glorious.
I also got my monthly newsletter out to my subscribers.
I introduced myself to my new editor at Samhain (via email of course). I wrote a synopsis for book one of Ransom & Fortune and sent it to her last night. Today I need to get a synopsis for book two done and sent to her by this evening.
I’m hoping to get another good portion of Nice Girls Do done today. Tonight is my one night off of the week and I hope I can make good on it. I find that if I turn off the TV and turn on some music, I write a lot better. I need a little background noise, but not the TV because I tend to want to watch that instead of write.
And also, Talk Dirty To Me dropped from #2 to #5 yesterday. It’s now #6. :( Hey, I guess I can’t complain too much. It’s been in the top 10 since its release three weeks ago. :)
I need to go send one email before I hit the door for the office. It’s hump day! We’re halfway to the weekend.
I need :coffee:
