Well it’s Friday
August 4, 2006
Before I get rolling this morning, have you seen this? My friend Amie sent me the link and I think it’s something to check into for sure. I think I’m going to do it! And in case you’re too lazy to click the link (hehe), Paperback Writer has tossed out a challenge to all us writers. Put together a new short story, novella, novlette, whatever and give it away on your weblog for free. Deadline October 31. What do you get in return? Links to your stories and a private critique. How can you possibly pass this up?
I had the baby last night and we cooked dinner together. He likes to help so I let him. The kid amazes me - he ate so much food! He must be about to grow or something.
Anyway, after taking him home to his dad, I got back and had to get to work in chapter financial stuff. I needed to get it out of the way so I wouldn’t have to think about any more. It’s done!
I really was going to write - I swear I was. But then I realized I needed to update my website. Especially The Bitter End so I did that instead. By then it was after ten and I was tired of looking at a computer screen since I do that all day anyway.
I fell into bed and picked up a new book. It’s called Confessions of a Shopaholic and I can totally see myself in this book! It cracked me up. Some of the things the heroine does is hilarious. Like obsessing about a scarf that’s on sale. All day! Very funny book and I’m enjoying it.
Of course I passed out shortly after 11is. I guess I needed to give my creative brain a rest these last two days. I’m going to hit it hard and heavy again this weekend, though. I want to hit the halfway mark by next week.
Okay that’s it for now. Ya’ll have a happy Friday!
