Let the weekend begin…
August 5, 2006
I got up early this morning and headed to the oil change place before it got busy. They give a free car wash with an oil change, so I did that too. The kiddo took his pocket etch-a-sketch and played while we waited. Afterward, we stopped in and got some donut holes.
There was a rather large crowd at the donut shop and this guy in front of me with two kids must have bought one of everything. When the lady asked if there would be anything else, he actually glanced in the case and said, “It just all looks so good.” I guess the man really likes donuts.
I spent a whopping $0.40 cents at the place. :hehe:
Sweetie Boy ate about three. I got the rest. Then I went outside into the blazing heat and used Armorall on the vehicle. It looks very nice now.
Not much else going on today except it’s a tax-free weekend here in Texas. That means we can buy certain items (clothes, for instance) tax free. It’s incentive to get people out and shopping for back-to-school stuff. We went to Target last night and I got a whole bunch of school clothes for the baby boy. Oh and I got his hair cut last night too. It looks SO cute! I never realized how much hair that kid has until it was all on the floor. It’s very nicely trimmed - not buzzed. A “big boy hair cut” as I called it.
Anyway, it’s supposed to be over 100 today and it’s hot already. We may try to hit the pool late afternoon. In the meantime, I have to make a run for Walgreen’s and get me some vitamins.
Oh, and I broke the 20,000 mark, finally, with Nice Girls Do! WOOHOO! If I can keep the momentum going, I might - MIGHT - be able to finish the first draft in a week to a week and a half. We’ll see.
That’s it for me. Happy Saturday!
