You know what’s really cool? A lady complimented my shoes in the elevator this morning. It totally rocked. That’s what makes it ALL worth it. Aren’t I ridiculous?

I can’t believe it’s Monday already. I mean, where did the weekend go? I want another day, dang it.

Picked up Sweetie Boy on Friday and when he saw the new bunk beds he proclaimed they were in fact “awesome”. I’m so happy they (a) fit in his room and (b) he loves them. We then headed to Wal Mart where I spent way too much money but I got the kiddo new bedding for both bunks. I also got some new picture frames and hung pictures of the baby in the hallway this weekend. Then I did some touching up of the sloppy paint job in the kitchen and got things fixed up. It looks good. Of course, where I taped off the ceiling and painted over the edging, it dripped and now I have to touch up my touch ups!

And I’ve officially had a blonde moment this weekend as well. A couple of weeks ago I had bought this new bathroom towel bar set. It’s the kind that has a little cover so you can’t see the screws in the wall. In the instructions, it says to unscrew the base from the bar and the screw was the TEENSIEST allen wrench I’ve ever seen in my life. So, I’m thinking I need to get one to get this thing done. I search all over the place for one and come up empty handed. Yesterday, as I was poking around in the box, it occurred to me to look at the hardware provided. And wouldn’t you know it? There was one INCLUDED in the set. *sigh* I felt like a total dim wit. But hey at least I got the new towel holders installed! There’s one for the hand towel, a 24 inch one for the bath towels, and a new toilet paper holder. I even painted the cabinet where the toilet paper holder is since, when I removed the old one, it was quite ugly and needed a good coat of paint.

I think I’m going to have to make a list of everything I need/want to do with the house. Normally, this would be called a honey-do list, but since I have no honey (at least a live-in one), I suppose I’ll have to call it something else.

Anyway… I love playing with me new house.

And do you think I’ve written one word? Not only no, but HELL no. Not.one.single.word. I even opened up my WIP this weekend and looked at it and thought about finishing it. But did I? No. Because the second I sat down at the computer, I had a little boy in there asking to go to toontown.com to play “amazing games”. As it turns out, the amazing games via Disney.com are on a trial basis, you have to download their software, and if you want to continue after the trial, you have to pay for it.

What a racket! I told him no and he played at MMS.com instead.

And I cooked dinner instead. And I didn’t even burn down the house! The meal was decent even. I’m starting to hone those culinary skills once again.

All right… time to get to work. I need more :coffee:
