Snowing?
April 7, 2007
This morning I woke up COLD. Very cold. It was about 5:30 am and I got up to check on the baby. He had no covers so I covered him up and thought about turning on the heat. Decided against it and just crawled back into bed. Turns out it was about 35 and the high is only supposed to be about 43 today.
The baby came into my room shortly after 7, hungry, and wanting to get up. But I wasn’t ready for that yet. So we snuggled and finally got moving about 8. I had to turn on the heat. The HEAT and it’s APRIL. In Texas. What is UP with that?
We ran to the bank and then the grocery store and when I got out of the store, it was snowing. Yes, snowing. Now, not big flakes mind you. But small white flakes drifting on the wind. And it’s COLD. Like it’s February weather. So weird.
Even the baby said it wasn’t supposed to be snowing in Spring.
I’m planning to bake a cheesecake today for Easter dinner tomorrow at Mom’s. It’s the perfect day to stay inside and bake.
Later tonight, the baby and I are driving to pick up Mom and Niece and we’re headed to the rodeo. Good thing it’s indoors otherwise, it’d be a no.
So much for packing up the coats and sweaters. I can’t believe this weather!
