Happy 4th!
July 4, 2007
Happy Independence Day! Hope everyone has a great holiday!
Looks like we may be rained out here, though. Sadly.
And speaking of rain… we had another torrential downpour and actually had some flooding in an area close to my house. Two golf courses flooded and the freeway was under water at afternoon rush hour. House was fine, though. And we still had power.
Rain is in the forecast through Monday. Sheesh. We haven’t had this much rain in…years. It’s supposed to be about 100 degrees right now and instead it’s in the 90s during the day and the 70s at night. Not complaining about that just sick of rain!
Update on the red ink stain - I managed to get most of it out! It’s just a faint pink stain now. I used the Tide pen and also blotted with a white cloth (and a papertowel under the shirt) to get most of the ink out. I washed it about three times in cold water with Shout on it. Even though it’s not completely gone, I can live with the faint stained instead of a big red blotch. I guess I’ve leared my lesson about falling asleep with red pens.
Thanks, Devon and Sandy for the suggestions. And Devon I laughed out loud at your “wash it alone” comment. hehe
Today we’re off to my brother’s house for lots of food. They bought fireworks - sparklers and stuff - for the kids. Hopefully the rain will hold off so we can do that tonight.
Then I’m off work Thursday and Friday. Yeah!
Got more work done on MAGIC and am nearing completion of the edits on BREAK. I’m trying to get it all done (the BREAK edits)Â by this weekend so I can beat the deadline. MAGIC is pulling at me hard lately, especially since I’ve figured out what to do with it finally! I think the time-crunch with BREAK helped that for some reason. And also writing the second MAGIC book helped me figure some things out for the first.
Anyway, slow but good progress on MAGIC.
And I’m off to get stuff done before leaving for the day! Have a safe and happy holiday!
