Grouchy Day
August 7, 2007
My Monday started off like any other Monday. Alarm went off at 6 and I got up and fed the cat. Then took a shower.
Except in the shower, you see, I didn’t have the curtain all the way closed to it practically flooded my bathroom. THAT was pleasant, let me tell you. I was not happy having to clean up water all over the floor.
Got ready for work and got the baby boy up. He told me he didn’t want to get out of bed and I could SO relate to that.
The drive to work was somewhat annoying. I can’t stand people that won’et let you in the freeway when you’re running out of onramp AND have your blinker on. It annoys the crap out of me.
Work was work. Nothing really unusual about the day. Until it was time to go.
And my frigging access card decided not to work at the gate. And of course there’s a line of cars behind me and folks are honking just to be an ass. I was annoyed by that.
And annoyed I had to drive home with all the other idiots on the road that can’t drive.
I meant to go by the post office today to mail a package but I never made it. I got busy at the office and ended up not walking over to it. And then I meant to go after work today but it was 100 degrees and all I could think about was getting home.
Except when I got home, I didn’t want to cook a thing. So I ordered pizza and wings instead. And it gave me horrifying indegestion.
By the time 9 pm hit, I was totally ready for bed. Sweetie Boy told me about a cartoon he saw with a ghost and that it was scaring him and he just “couldn’t get it out of his mind” and that he needed to “not be alone”. I guess I was a mean momma. I sent him off to bed with instructions to think only happy thoughts - like Transformers, Hot Wheels, or Underdog. Must have worked since he was out seconds later.
He gets super stubborn when he’s tired. I have no idea where he gets it. HA
Today will be a better day. AND…I’ve got to get back to writing MAGIC. And I have two chapters to read from a friend. I started reading one at lunch and then promptly got interrupted. Figures.
