Things that go bump in the night…

…are usually six-year-old things that come and stand by your bedside and say, “Mom, I’m thirsty,” and you nearly jump out of your skin.

Oh and hey -before I get any further today – check out my post over at the Chicas blog about my struggle with writerly-identity-crisis (haha). Click here!

Thanks to all those who stopped by yesterday on WW - those are some sexy shoes, aren’t they?? ;)

I haven’t been sleeping well lately anyway. Too much on my mind I suppose. Lots going on and lots of things happening in my world. At work, we’re gearing up for the annual awards banquet which is lots and lots and lots and lots of work. Lots of things to do and get done and starting next week, I will be a madwoman. Oh, wait, I think I already am.

Soccer is going well. We got his pictures back and OH MY he’s so cute. This is the most photogenic child in the world I think. He takes beautiful pictures (I could be biased, though). ;)

What else? I’ve started reading books again and started struggling one day at a time with the writing. I’m getting there. I’m starting to work on some WIPs again and I’m going to do NaNo this year I think to try and finish a draft of the Magic book. Yeah, that one that’s on submission at the agent that I haven’t heard back from yet. Maybe I can get it finished before I get a reply. I just have edits to do so it shouldn’t take long to finish. If I really buckle down I can do it in two weeks.

And OH OH OH – I have something exciting in the works but I can’t announce yet until I know for sure. It will be an event in January or February so stay tuned.

Now off to work!
