Free Book Friday!
February 1, 2008
I can’t believe it’s February already!
And woohoo! It’s Friday! And your chance to win a free book.
Whew. What a week. I’m so glad it’s nearly over. Last night, the kiddo had a birthday party to go to. It was at this place called Leapin’ Lizards. You know, I gotta say - I’m impressed with this place. The kids got to play and run and wear themselves out and then they got pizza and cake. Cool.
I hung out with the other moms and we chatted while the party went on. It was nice to talk to them and socialize a little bit outside my circle. Even though I’m kinda shy - I know, that is so hard to believe right? But really I am. I have a hard time walking up to folks and saying, “Hi, I’m …” But I did it.
Then we hit the door at 8:30, put him in the tub, washed his hair and then I sat down to watch LOST. I missed every minute while I was at the party.
I’ve decided I absolutely, positively cannot live without my coffee. This morning I think I drank about four cups. It’s the only thing that kept me going all day long since I stayed up super late. I finished reading Bloodfever and … wow. Just wow. I want the third one already! I wish she’d hurry up!
This is a really amazing series. If you’re looking for dark urban fantasy, GET THIS. It’s well worth the time and definitely on my Keeper Shelf.
So, the question of the day is - what’s on your Keeper Shelf? Something you’ve recently discovered or something that you’ve had forever? Please share. Because I’m always looking for new stuff to read.
Oh, and let me know if you want to be in Free Book Friday until midnight CST. I’m giving away Melissa Schroeder’s Lessons in Seduction. I’ll put your name in the hat and have my kiddo draw the winner in the morning.
Happy Free Book Friday!
