So. Yesterday was Man’s birthday. He wouldn’t let me buy him lunch or a coffee, even though we went to lunch AND had coffee (well I had a Venti Green Tea Iced Tea). After work, he came by for dinner and - of course! - cake.
The chicken friend steak came out really good and the mashed potatoes weren’t as creamy as I would have liked, but they were still yummy. The cornbread fell flat but that was okay too. The chocolate cake, though, was DELISH. It took all my willpower to only have one small piece when I really wanted to eat the entire thing.
After dinner, the kiddo played on the computer while we watched American Idol. I hate to say it but I think the younger David is going to win, even though I’m really REALLY pulling for David Cook. I voted for him.
David A was really good, but I think being so young, eventually he’s going to crack under pressure. Especially with his overbearing father. Anyway… then we all went outside and the kiddo played with his new airplane and I got bit my mosquitos. blah
All in all, a very nice evening. Very low key. Relaxing even!
I’m off work tomorrow. There’s a “celebration assembly” at the school on Thursday and then I have to get my driver’s license renewed. I’m looking forward to having a day off. And I’m REALLY looking forward to a long weekend.
Tonight is turkey wrap night.
Happy Wednesday!
