Downtime

Since I got the WIP out to the CPs Monday night AND I managed to meet my self-imposed March 1 deadline, I took the night off. I spent some time on Facebook uploading some old photos when I danced. Witness this one. Yes, that’s really me. I used to be able to do that but in my nearly-40 body, I am no longer this flexible.

That was a long-ass time ago, I might add. 🙂 I believe it was 1987 or 1988. Egads. We danced to Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever”. Of course!

Anyway… so last night I took it easy. I did work on a new book at lunchtime. I fiddled with it and came up with a new character I wanted to write into the story. She’s going to be a six-foot-tall lizard named Velocity who owns a sword and sorcery shop. Hey, it’s space fantasy. I can get away with that, right?

I’m also reading a fellow writer’s debut novel and enjoying it quite a bit. It’s full of snarky fun (and an urban fantasy).

I also downloaded some music on iTunes. My coworker told me about this folk group and let me listen to them on her iPod and I loved them. So I downloaded them and am enjoying them as I write this.

And that’s about it for me. Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday. I’m off to the dentist for my regular checkup today.
