Fighting a Cold

The last few days have not been fun. I somehow caught a head cold and have been down for the count. I left work early two days last week to come home and veg out on the couch. Friday was the worst. I spent the day on the couch with Earl Grey tea and a Star Wars marathon. It seemed to help. I thought I was feeling better by the end of the night but just in case I took some NyQuil.

It knocked me out. I slept for 12 hours and woke up with lead in my head. I felt awful. As the day progressed I seemed to get better but it was still yucky. By Sunday morning I felt world’s better.

I hate being sick. It’s the worst. And it seems to take me a while to bounce back from it. I managed to get my weekend chores done but that was about it. The nice weather helped. It was good to open the back door and let some fresh air into the house.

I didn’t get any writing done for three days which is annoying. I had a self-imposed deadline of March 1 to finish the draft of my current WIP. I still may make it but I’m going ot have to hussle. I really need to get it wrapped up so I can get on with the “secret project”. I have high hopes for that one and I really want to get back to it.

So that’s what I’ve been doing – being sick. I hope you all can avoid the nasty head cold. It’s the pits.
