I’m Smiling

Phoenix FireI would like to unveil the new cover for my next release, PHOENIX FIRE, starring Elena and Cassius. I love this book. It’s been one that’s close to me for a long time and racked up a lot of rejections before finding a home. So I’m very happy to have found a home for it. Hence, the reason I’m smiling. I think it’s one of the prettiest covers I’ve had.

Can you see the gladiator behind the title text? I love that, too. It’s so cool.

Yesterday, the weather didn’t quite pan out the way the weathermen thought it would. They swore up and down we’d have up to 4 inches. Instead, we got a dusting. And the sun actually came out during the day so it melted off a lot of the ice from the roads. Today is back to work and school as usual. The roads are fine. They were fine yesterday afternoon, too.

Man went to the office around 12:30 and spent most of the afternoon there. Then he came by the house and picked me up and we went to the grocery store. They had California Rolls! I was so happy. I bought the package and I’m really looking forward to having them for dinner tonight.

Last night I also spent some time brainstorming some promo ideas. I have one of my short stories for sale through Smashwords and another through Pub It and so I decided I was losing sales by not taking advantage of all avenues. I learned how to do direct publishing of them through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing program. So I now have both my shorts for sale through Amazon Kindle. I’m very excited about that and hope it leads to more sales of those two short stories. I don’t have the exact link yet since it was still “in progress” at the time I wrote this blog entry.

I felt like I was on a roll, so I published my other story story (that was with just PubIt) to Amazon KDP program and it’s coming soon, too. Very excited about that because it gives readers more options on where to buy them.

So, all in all, yesterday was a smashing good day. I got a lot accomplished and I got a new cover! 🙂
