Night Off

NANO STATUS: Unchanged

I took the night off last night! Actually, that’s not entirely true. I had to do a few things for chapter business and THEN I took the night off from writing. I figure if I can write some tonight and tomorrow, I will still be at the halfway mark by the 15th which is the ultimate goal, anyway.

I got my kiddo last night and I didn’t feel like cooking, so we had Chick-Fil-A. Then we watched Kung Fu Panda. It was cute. Made me laugh out loud a couple of times. 🙂 By the time that was over, it was his bathtime and then bed time.

I find that when he spends a lot of time at his dad’s, by the time he gets back to me he’s one of those kids who ignores everything I say. It makes me completely insane. I detest repeating myself over and over again and I really don’t like to yell either. But he pushes me to the brink and I finally snap at him. I think I must have asked for him to brush his teeth at least four times. When he doesn’t want to do something he (a) has  a stomach ache or (b) wants to go to sleep. In last night’s case, he wanted to go to sleep RIGHT THEN.

Needless to say, I was not a happy mom with that sort of behavior. I get to spend the next two days undoing every bad habit he picked up (including burping!) and/or resumed while at his dad’s. So hooray for me.

And as the weekend gets closer, I realize just how super busy I’m going to be. We have soccer most of the day on Saturday and then Sunday is, of course, church day. The kid and I are doing Project Christmas Child. We’re supposed to fill up a box full of stuff and take it back to the church so they can distribute it. I have to find time to get to the grocery store sometime in there AND I need to get by Garden Ridge or Michael’s for some stuff for my company’s annual awards banquet. Friday night is the Kidz Blitz at the church but I’m not sure we’re going to make that yet or not. I have too much other stuff to get accomplished before Monday morning and, well, that just bites.

Plus I paid bills last night and I’m totally sick of never having any money. Bills suck. But it would suck more not to have Internet, Cell Phone and Satellite, I guess. 😀

Okay…will quite complaining. I’m just cranky I guess. I’ll just keep on keeping on.
