My Sexy Adventure @MySexySaturday #MSS165

Welcome to Week 165 of My Sexy Saturday! This week’s theme is My Sexy Adventure. I’m posting a little excerpt from ONE KNIGHT ONLY, book 1 in the Realm of Honor series. This is one of my favorites! I love this book with features Finn and Maggie–he’s a sexy Medieval Scot and she’s a smart-mouth present day college student. There’s time travel, jousting, knights, damsels, magic and, yes, adventure! Check it out! A groan behind her made her spin around, grabbing the linen and holding it to her bosom. On the bed, a dark-haired man she had never seen before rolled onto his back. He was shirtless, showing off every ripple of muscle and fantastic pectorals, the likes of which she had never seen in her life. Smooth, hairless skin with tremendous biceps and a narrow waist disappearing into the bedding that made her imagination run away with hot fantasies. “Oh dear me,” she breathed. Who was this man? More importantly, where the bloody hell was she? A soft snore escaped him and Maggie couldn’t stop staring at that beautiful chest rising and falling with every breath. His long dark hair spilled around him. And his face… “Wow.” The word slipped out before she could stop it. His chiseled face hosted a strong square chin with a tiny indention in the center covered with a day’s growth of beard, a perfect nose, pronounced cheekbones, dark eyebrows. She propped a knee on the mattress, scooting closer to lean over him for…

Cover Reveal: In the Tower of the Wizard King

I am super excited about showing off this new cover to you. It’s the first in a new series called Age of Wizards. There’s time travel, fae magic, portals, wizards, romance, adventure, danger, bad guys! It’s got everything an it’s SO.MUCH.FUN. I’m rather attached to this book. It’s the one that dragged me back from “I hate writing” to “I love writing.” I found my writing joy again with this book and I have Holly Lisle to thank for it. It’s the book I wrote with her How to Think Sideways course, the one I actually plotted from beginning to end. And it all started with a magic trunk. This is primarily fantasy, so I asked for and got that in cover art. It doesn’t scream romance to me (even though there is a romance or two). I just love it and I think it suits the book very well. Below is the blurb, though it may change as I finish final edits (I got those back this weekend from the editor). Anyway, without further adieu…BEHOLD: In the Age of Wizards, Time is a commodity more valuable than gold. Her magic is dormant… When Aoife Burke rushes home after the unexpected death of her father, she discovers her mother has vanished amidst inexplicable circumstances. With a warrant out for her mother’s arrest, Aoife returns to her childhood home to search for clues to lead to her whereabouts. Another shock awaits her—Sean O’Connell, the object of her girlhood crush, purchased the…

Cover Reveal: A Knight to Remember

In my continuing saga of cover reveals… I’m excited to show off the third cover for the Realm of Honor series, A Knight to Remember. I really like this book, too, as it’s Henry and Maeve’s story. She’s the queen of the Otherworld, powerless and hunted by the Goddess of War. He’s a human masquerading as a Fae knight…and Maggie’s father (Maggie was the heroine from Book 1). Look for pre-order links to the re-release soon! The Goddess of War is out for Queen Maeve’s blood to satisfy a thousand-year-old vendetta. And the only one that can save her is a human masquerading as a Fae knight. Henry Chase is desperate to find his daughter lost in the Highlands. When he steps through a stone circle, he’s transported to the Otherworld. With his human form hidden by glamour, he masquerades as a Fae knight. He’s instantly besotted by Queen Maeve and determined to break down the walls she’s erected around her heart. In the aftermath of war, Queen Maeve’s kingdom has been destroyed. She must close the portals to the human realm and restore her lost magic. But before she can set things straight, her archenemy, the Goddess of War, attacks, seeking revenge. When the goddess captures the queen, Henry offers his life for Maeve’s in the hope his bravery will earn the queen’s love. Discovering Henry is human and knowing she must send him back to his world, Maeve tries to fight her feelings for him. Now she must…

Cover Reveal: Only for a Knight

I’m excited to show off the second cover in my Realm of Honor series. This one is for the second book in the series, Only for a Knight. This is the story of Derron and Elyne – and probably my favorite book in the series. Mostly because we get to see Queen Maeve in action a lot and she does something at the end that carries forward into book three. Are you intrigued now? 🙂 I plan to re-release this one later this summer as long with the first book. Can Elyne and Derron stop the destruction of the walls between Fae and Man before they fall? After saving her love from certain death, Princess Elyne returns to the Otherworld by order of her mother, Queen Maeve. But it’s not the homecoming she expects. The queen is furious she has been meddling with humans and imprisons her, stripping away her magic. The only way Elyne can get her powers back is to perform one selfless act. When Queen Maeve sends Sir Derron to find the Guardian of the ancient Sword of Light, one of the Four Treasures of the Otherworld, he can’t leave without releasing Elyne. After all, she altered time to save his life in the human world. But freeing the princess comes with a steep price—he must take her with him on this dangerous quest. Their search becomes much more than a pursuit for the missing Guardian. Dark Elf, Lord Kieran, rises to dominate the Unseelie court. He…

Week Something #Writing Progress

So I’m finally writing a post that actually as an update. Shocking, I know. Sorry I’ve been a little distracted with…things. Lots of things going on in my life at the moment with the kid, the husband and the writing life. SO! Progress bar: Look at me go! I made some huge progress since the last time I posted. Oh, and did I mention I wrote a 55k book in between that? Cuz I got bored with the Wizard King and I wanted to try my hand at a Harlequin? So yeah. That happened. And also CHECK OUT that groovy cover art I made! Why? Because this book is posted on Wattpad. If you’d like to read the first few chapters, then click here. Anyway. So here’s my progress. I figured out my hero’s GMC which, you know, is a good thing. And I have also been connecting the dots from Part 1 to Part 2, which is also a good thing. My only problem now is an ending. I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to get there though I know some things I want to have happen before I do finally get there. We writerly folk are crazy. So without further ado, here is a little sneak preview of where I currently am in the story. Enjoy. “You’re the one,” he’d said. “The one what?” “You have Fae and Wizard blood, my child. That is something special.” He gazed at her with something akin to awe and admiration….
