What? It’s Tuesday? Sheesh.

The days have gotten away from me. I can’t believe it’s March!

Yesterday was a very stressful day for me. Since every freakin’ freeway in this city is under construction, it makes it difficult to get anywhere. The Powers That Be have decided to close the entrance ramp to the freeway where I get on to go to work. I knew this Monday morning, so I took an alternate route. It was awful. Took me nearly an hour to get to work (normally a 20 minute drive). I was beside myself before I got there. I have to find a better alternate route but I have a feeling it’s just going to suck before they decide to open up that ramp (in three weeks…).

Then I had to rush home from work for Open House at the school. And of course, traffic was awful coming home, too. Took me nearly 45 minutes (again – normally a 20-25 minute drive). I rushed home, threw my crap down, rushed out the door and made it to the Open House.

When I got home after, Man took me to Taco Bell. I also destressed with a half bottle of merlot. I needed it.

It’s hard to believe Spring Break is next week. We are taking the kiddo to my sister’s house in East Texas so he can spend the week with his cousin who is the same age. I anticipate a lot of driving coming up.

And since it’s a new month, I should report in how I’m doing on the Dave Ramsey plan. I can happily report that I’ve paid off two credit cards. I will have one more gone by the end of the month. I got the taxes filed thanks to the awesome CPA we have.

I’m also writing, still. I try to write every day at lunch but sometimes it doesn’t work out. I’m averaging about 1500-1800 words an hour which isn’t too shabby. But it’s still taking me what feels like forever to finish this darn book. In the meantime, I’ve had a new character pop up and start talking. I haven’t exactly figured out what her story is yet, other than it has something to do with a lot of action at night. No, not that kind of action. Get your mind out of the gutter. The kind of action that is like kick-ass stuff. For our first anniversary, Man gave me a really cool journal (being that the first anniversary is paper…) and so I’ve been writing stuff down about this new character. Helps me get it out of my head and on paper. That way it doesn’t get lost.

Okay time for me to go to work. Here’s hoping it won’t take me an hour. 😐

I wish you all could be inside my head. The conversation is sparkling.
