Anyway…

Pictures are forthcoming of DS’s first day of preschool. DH was going to download them for me last night when the batteries decided to die. So, they are charging and I will post on tomorrow’s entry. Since I felt like a heel because my child was the only one without a backpack, I got one when I got DH’s birthday present.

DH loved his birthday present, by the way. I got a really nice Wenger briefcase. He can carry his laptop and all his important papers now in one bag instead of two. AND I got my black bag back. WOO! Got the baby a Spiderman backpack. It was the only “boy” one they had. He toted it around all night last night. It was cute.

Even though I felt rather spunky yesterday, I was also blocked all day. I did manage one issue of the adventure serial. Only one measly little issue. Blarg. I just don’t wanna. I just don’t want to write it anymore. And I love the characters of Skye and Dane. I’m struggling with this whacked out storyline I concocted I guess. Made it too complicated with too many people. I just need to focus and get back to it. TODAY.

Tried to work on the new contemporary. Managed another 1000 words and finished chapter seven. Still writing this in order and it’s all good.

Plus, my fingers are on revolt. They don’t want to type anything. I’m having the most difficult time getting anything typed because it’s like the keyboard is foreign to me. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit the backspace key.

And now for something completely different…

10 Things I Love

In no particular order.

Sleeping. Especially in the winter when I have my big thick comforter and flannel sheets. It takes a crowbar to pry me out of the bed.

Hot showers. There’s nothing better than standing under a stream of super hot water. Ahhh… bliss.

Laughter. Laughing and hearing my DS belly laugh and seeing that big grin on his face.

Freshly cut grass. My favorite thing is driving through a neighborhood and catching a whiff of it as I go along.

Coffee. That first cup in the morning…when it goes over your lips and down your throat. Heaven.

Men in Skates. ‘Nuff said.

Kisses. Long, passionate, romantic kisses. Soft, sweet, heartwarming kisses.

Towels in the Dryer. Opening the dryer to smell the fabric softener and holding the warm terry cloth. I just want to bury my nose in it.

Emails. Getting an email from a dear friend trying to cheer me up when they know I’m blue.

Friends. You’re always there when I need you, you make me laugh, you give me hope, you inspire me, you make me a better person, you believe in me. And you know who you are. All of you.
