Quote du Jour:
Never fails. You get in the tub and there’s a rub at the lamp.

August! Where does the time go. Lots going on this month. My son starts preschool and turns 4 years old. Husband has a birthday and we have an anniversary. I plan to get more submissions out to agents. Finish the romance serial and start wrapping up the adventure serial. Yes, I think I have made the decision to wrap up the adventure serial at long last. But I have other plans for those two characters. Next I plan to do a novella for them. And, last but not least, I’m going to try to start using that health club membership I’m paying for.
I’ve begun to despise Monday’s. Probably because I’m just getting comfortable with my weekend by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around.
Got no writing done this weekend which isn’t a surprise. I never get any writing done during the weekend these days. I did write about … oh … 50 words on the new WIP and that was about it. I’m adding to the market scene thanks to some suggestions from my friend.
I’m actually considering writing a synopsis before I finish this story. *gasp* It’s a novel idea (no pun intended).
Had a nice time at Cheddar’s Sunday with a few of the ladies from my local chapter. It’s always fun to talk about books and writing with other writers. We plotted one of the lady’s romantic suspense series.
I mentioned my struggle with the current WIP to my husband. He thinks I should kill off my hero. ๐ He can’t help it – he’s not into romance. ๐
I did get the chapter newsletter completely done and I can get it copied tomorrow. WOOHOO! Glad I got all that finished. It’s a good issue this month I think.
Just too many ideas swirling around in my head today. Can’t keep them all straight. Besides I like typing on my new keyboard.
Hockey-ness
Highly disappointed the TV schedule for the hockey games has not been announced yet, but I’ll just bide my time. We have the sports package on our satellite so we should be able to get most if not all of the games. That is, if they decide to televise them. Discovered a new blog today and I’m thrilled about it. I’ll be reading it on a regular basis. It’s the Dallas Stars Blog called Razor With an Edge by Dallas Stars color analyst, Daryl Reaugh.
I’m happy to report the Stars have resigned Sergie Zubov (Zubie). Whew! What a relief. Now I have to wait and see who else we’re going to get to keep. Sadly, they have let Turgeon go (). However, the team has made qualifying offers to ten key players – Jason Arnott, Brenden Morrow, Steve Ott, John Erskine are among the ten.
As far as the Draft goes, the Stars picked seven players. They are: defenseman Matt Niskanen, left wing James Neal, left wing Richard Clune, center Perttu Lindgren, forward Tom Wandell of Sodertalje Jr., forward Matt Watkins and goaltender Pat McGann. Can’t wait to see the news faces and finally watch a game.
Go stars! ๐
KILL OFF YOUR HERO????
Oops, I hit the “post button.” ๐ณ What I meant to say was…BLASPHEMY!! How dare he???
Sounds exactly like something my hubby would say…
