  3. Get bundled up and go for a walk with the dog, come back, curl up by the fire and drink a cup of hot tea.

  4. Depends upon how cold. Right now, with temps in the 50s, the windows are open and I’m loving the cool breeze. This is the kind of day where I’ll make some homemade chicken noodle soup, or bake. I also enjoy cleaning when it’s cold .. the colder I can get the room, the more invigorated I am. I love to get the bedroom as cold as I can (in the old days this meant opening the window in lower 40 degree weather) and snuggling under layers of blankets. At one time I lived in a house that had an upstairs sleep porch, and I would sleep there in the winter …

  6. Thank goodness I now live in warm Florida. However, when we lived in Virginia where it was cold AND damp, I loved to cuddle up on the sofa with my legs wrapped in a warm throw, sipping a hot cup of coffee or tea and reading a book. It was always the best time for me because my full time job, family and household chores left little time for Me!

    • Hi, Connie. We never know what kind of weather we’re going to get here in Texas but I do love curling up on the sofa with a hot drink and a good book 🙂

  7. My favorite thing to do to get warm is sit in my comfortable chair with a cup of hot tea, my dog by my side and read a steamy novel.

  11. (Sorry if this is a repeat, never really sure if my phone is doing what I want it to do….) My favorite thing on a cold day is to cancel everything, make a fire (mandatory) in the fireplace, get my flannel jammies on, spread a jigsaw puzzle out on the table, make coco, homemade soup and bread, curl up on the sofa after I’ve worked on the puzzle and have eaten my fill of soup and bread and fall asleep under a wonderful quilt with a squishy pillow. Mmmmmmm……..
