A good long weekend

I hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend. I didn’t wait it to end!

So I’ve been tinkering with the blog and the website. The design is coming along and I’m starting to like the way it’s turning out. If you haven’t seen my home page yet, check it out! It’s all new. 🙂

My weekend got started early. I actually got off work at 3 on Friday which was great because I got home before rush hour. Man got home and we headed to Papa Murphy’s for some take and bake pizza. We love this stuff. It just tastes fresher than any other pizza. We generally hung out and did not much of anything that evening. Saturday we ran some errands and I picked up some stuff for the kiddo. I was looking for new summer PJs for him since he’s outgrowing his but they’re hard to find since they’re out of season. Sears actually had their coats out! Yeah, it’s just not coat weather here yet. Thought we did finally get a break in the weather. Thank goodness! The high on Monday was only 85 and the lows were in the 60s. Heaven!

Saturday night, instead of going out to dinner, I cooked chicken fried steak and did a few loads of laundry. I also stithced on my tiger. I’m getting closer to finishing it. Hopefully I can get it done soon because it’s about time to start working on Christmas stuff. It doesn’t seem like a normal weekend if we don’t go to Lowe’s so we ended up there and looked at toilets. Our bathroom is in dire need of a new toilet so that’s next on our to do list. We are also getting ready to completely redo the office. It’s a mess and I’m tired of it being a mess. And we have no storage, which is annoying, too. And there’s no door on the room! We’ve come up with a solution though – Man is going to put in a pocket door. Hopefully that renovation won’t be a headache but since this is a 30 year old house, that remains to be seen. 🙂

We did our normal errands on Sunday which consisted of grocery shopping and more grocery shopping. I promised the kiddo I would take him to Chili’s as a late birthday dinner so we ended up there for dinner. We stuffed ourselves silly.

We also stuffed ourselves silly on Monday when we grilled steaks and chicken and corn on the cob. Oh, and I had mojitos.

It was a really nice, long weekend and I didn’t want it to end. During the weekend, I did manage to get some editing done. I finished all the little things and now I’m going back through and taking care of all the bigger things and tweaking. I’m about 30 pages in on my second revision. As soon as I’m finished, I’m going to polish up the just completed book and get it ready to send out to my CPs.

And that’s about it for me. It’s time to run to school and work and kick off yet another week.
