So much for the silent treatment. ๐
Yesterday afternoon I received an email from my publisher offering a contract for my latest novella, Sex, Lust and Martinis. I’m very happy to say I have signed it and submitted it. I’ve sent off the cover art request and the book information form, so I’m all official! No release date yet. I have to finish the edits first, which shouldn’t be too daunting. At least I hope not. I’m fairly confident, it was a clean copy when I sent it off. No major plot holes or anything. And, thus, this book will retire my famed “Coffee House Chronicles”. Instead, I’ve been brainstorming some ideas for contemporary series involving lots and lots of shoes. Pretty ones. With a red sole.
I also managed just over 2000 words yesterday on the new time travel. That would be my merry old Scotsman story (Colin, LOL – I loved your comment yesterday. And, by the way, I may want to pick your brain over some Scottish dialect…).
Hot, hot, hot here. What else is new? Although, it’s much warmer than usual this time of year. We’re going to bust the century mark again in a day or two. Ack.
So now I’m waiting on a response on one more submission. If it’s a rejection, I have a plan. I just wish I’d get a response. Patience is not a virtue of mine. ๐
Happy Wednesdsay!
