I’m sad my four day weekend is over. It was long. And nice. And enjoyable.
My Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday came out great. The turkey was good. The dressing was good. The chocolate cake with truffle icing was awesome. Plus I made this sweet potato cranberry casserole which rocked. Friday I braved the stores and did a little Black Friday shopping. And then on Saturday we went to Mom’s and spent the day eating more Thanksgiving dinner and playing Wii games. It was a blast!
Yesterday we managed to accomplish getting the Christmas decorations up – just a few since we’ll be gone for a week. Man also fixed the leaky shower (YAY!) and the leaky toilet (double YAY!). Then he climbed on the roof and cut limbs away from the roof and chimney and repaired (to the best he good) the dilapidated fence in the backyard. It’s seriously about to fall down. And of course the neighbors are no help. You’d think they’d have a vested interest since they have a dog. At any rate, Sunday was about sticking around the house and fixing things that needed to get fixed. Oh, and Christmas decorations. ๐ We were tired of turkey last night so I made spaghetti and meatballs.
And now we’re back to work/school. Even thought it was a blissfully long weekend, I can’t believe it’s over already. However…
12 days to go!
It sounds like you had a great “mini” vaca!
Back to reality is just so…lame, isn’t it?
TWELVE days!!!????
Commiserations on getting back to work. When my alarm went off this morning, I yelled “What?! Already? Crap on a Cracker.” Really. Just like that ๐
12 days!!!! Woohoo!
LOL Yes, I felt the same way, Jen!
I can’t believe it’s 12 days either…
I bet you can’t wait. I’m so excited for you. ๐
