For all my good intentions on Sunday, I didn’t write a word. And I was doing so well on Saturday. Ah well. Here’s hoping to get some writing done today. That word meter is going to be a motivating factor. I want to see it move daily. I want to get this book finished and I want to get it submitted. I know I keep saying that but it’s like positive reinforcement for myself.

I bought Rachel Ray’s newest cookbook 365 No Repeats. Last night I made the balsamic-glazed pork chops and rice pilaf. Now, I’m a bit rusty in the kitchen when it comes to cooking (however, I can bake just about anything), so I wasn’t sure how I’d do. The chops came out great though and I had no major disasters (i.e., I didn’t burn down the kitchen). It’s a keeper recipe I think. And since it was a small success, I’m betting I can try something else in her cookbook and pull it off.
