Since I’ve been home from New York City, I’ve just felt brain dead. And exhausted. Maybe I haven’t caught up yet from traveling and less sleep. Or maybe I’m just tired from this excessive heat. It was 102 here yesterday and will be again today. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be 103. When it gets that hot, I refuse to go outside if I don’t have to. Summer in Texas is when I hibernate. 🙂 I did manage about 7,000 words last week.
Monday I got some writing done – only about 1000 words – and then had lunch with a writer friend. It was good and inspirational. I came home and did a lot of brainstorming that afternoon on a series I want to start. I played around with some titles and thought about setting. Answered emails. Nothing really all that spectacular. I didn’t get much done yesterday. I had an appointment in the morning and then ended up having lunch with the hubby. By the time I got home, I was drained of energy. So I didn’t do much of anything. I read and napped and read some more. Then I stitched last night on the tiger. I’m not making a lot of progress very fast and I’m going to finish it by the end of August, I need to get busy on it.
Today I have a few errands to run and then I intend to get back home, get my head in gear and get some words down. Hard to believe it’s already Wednesday!
You need a vacation from the time away…I hope you can get back on track…
I’m struggling with what I have to write (because I’m on deadline) and what I want to write.
