Chatting Tonight

This weekend was a hard one. Saturday I went to an RWA meeting and then had lunch with a deer friend. It was really nice to catch up with her and talk. I don’t get to see her all that much so it was a lot of fun.

Then I went home and the Man and I had a nice afternoon. We had “date night” at PetSmart and Lowe’s. Aren’t we romantic? 😉 We had some miscellaneous things to pick up and then had dinner at Panera. Sunday, he installed a new vent an in the master bathroom. Things like that are never easy in this house. Because it was built in the late 1970s, everything is a pain in the butt to fix/install. A two hour project turns into a ten hour project. Poor guy. But he got it installed and it works great.

To thank him, I cooked steaks and stuffed portabello mushrooms. We also managed to put away a bottle of wine in record time while watching ONCE UPON A TIME, the new ABC show. We liked it.

Monday was a trying day at work but I did manage to get about 1100 words on my lunch hour on KNIGHT 2. This is going to be another fun story. I’ve been keeping track of my word count via my iPhone on Notes. So far, I have a nice running total. I’m up to just over 12k. Only about 78k to go. 😉 I’ve been putting down the dates I’ve been writing. It’s going to be a great tracker to see how long it will take me to write the first draft.

I also got back some comments on my latest WIP, which were excellent. I worked through the first 50 pages last night but I have more to go so I’ll work on that more tonight. After the chat, of course!

All in all, on the writing front, it was a productive day. I like those.
