Today is the last day of 2013. Isn’t that hard to believe? It blows my mind. It seems like yesterday was January 1! But here we are on New Year’s Eve 2013 looking into the future year. Usually, I would post today about the year in review, but I’m not going to do that today. I’m going to talk about the coming year. I’m NOT going to talk about resolutions. Because I believe New Year’s resolutions are nothing more than setting you up for failure by February 1. Instead, I’m going to set New Year’s Goals.
I have some great ideas in mind for 2014. I’ve set some lofty goals and I know I can achieve them. I want to deliver to you, beautiful readers, fiction you’ll devour. Fiction you’ll want to salivate over. Fiction you can’t get enough of. It’s going to be a GREAT year and I’m excited about all the possibilities. So I’ll be writing my fingers to the bone to give you some great stories. So stay tuned. It’s nothing I can really talk about yet but I have some great ideas and some things in progress you’ll love. My writing goals are big and way too detailed for this blog post but suffice it to say I haz them. Lots of them.
Another goal I’ve set for myself: Simplification. I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed lately, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I intend to simplify my social media life because I just can’t face doing everything all of the time. It’s killing me and I am only one person. I accept that now and that I can’t do everything all of the time. I have limitations and I need to reclaim what little sanity I have left. 😉 I’ve decided to pick my top three and stick to it. Don’t worry—I’m not leaving Facebook anytime soon. Much to my husband’s chagrin.
I’m looking forward to moving ahead in 2014 and putting this dismal year behind me. I’m looking forward to change and new adventures.
What are your goals for 2014? Do you set them for the new year?
