Hey everyone – today is the launch of a new group blog (of which I’ll be participating in) called Plotting Princesses. I hope you’ll stop by and say hi!
We spent Tuesday evening at the Ballpark watching the Texas Rangers play. That was the fun part. The not so fun part was sitting in 100+ degree heat. It was still 100 degrees at 9 pm. I’d finally reached my maximum level of hotness (no jokes please) so we left after the 6th inning. My heart was racing and I had a really hard time walking back to the truck afterward. I was VERY glad to be in some AC and get home. I slept like the dead.
But woke up feeling like I’d been hit by a truck. I’ve come down with some sort of allergy/nasal/stupid thing. My sinuses have been bothering me the last two days. Yesterday was really bad. I felt like I could lay down and sleep for a week. And I get no more mid-day naps. hehe
This heat is nearly unbearable. We’ve had 20+ days of being in the triple digits. And virtually no rain. Everything is dead or dying. The lawns are practically brown. I’m sick of it. I’m ready for Winter. I’ll take 30 degrees ANY day next to 110. (My husband would disagree – he’s so not a winter guy.)
Hopefully I’ll be back to normal soon. In the meantime, my progress has been at a snails pace. Sadly.
Feel better soon. Since you have A/C inside, try steaming with chamomile and lavender. It will help. Inhale fragrant steam and relax, when you get home after work, for about 20 minutes. Makes a big difference.
