Full Weekend

Whew. What a weekend. It was fast and furious.

Friday night we went to The Man’s restaurant for dinner. And since it’s across town it’s always an event. We got home in time for Sweetie Boy to go to bed. And then it was time for me to crash as well.

Saturday morning, the baby got up early – 7:30 – and we took it easy that morning. But that afternoon we went to see Underdog. It was cute. The baby boy liked it but the plot was weak and the acting not to great. But hey, as long as the kid liked it, that’s all I cared about.

Then Sunday it was off to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History to see the Star Wars Exhibit. It was so totally cool. AND I got to get my picture with Han Solo and Chewbacca. Okay, not really. But their costumes at least. Very cool exhibit and plus there was a ton of activities for the kids to do. They actually learned how robots work and stuff.

While we were waiting for our turn at the exhibit (tickets were sold in 15 minute increments), we killed some time downstairs in the children’s museum. LOTS of cool activities down there for them.

Once we left the museum, it was straight to the church where the baby boy had two hours of another music camp. He looked tired when I dropped him off. But when I picked him up, he was singing and dancing and laughing. He was so cute. He told me on the way to the car he made a new friend. I love he makes friends so easily.

While he was in music camp, I ran errands. I went to Wal-Mart and then got gas and by the time I finished that, it was time to get the baby.

Got home and cooked dinner. Did the dishes, then put him in the tub and washed his hair and got him ready for bed. We read three chapters in his latest Magic Tree House book, then he called his dad to tell him goodnight.

I swear that kid was out in 5 seconds. I wound down the evening with a nice glass of port. My feet were so tired by the time I climbed in bed last night.

But it was a great weekend. We had a great time. I’m so glad he had so much fun.

Now I had to get back to work to rest!
