I know – I’ve been sorely lacking in the blog department lately. I just haven’t had much to say I guess!
I did go out and vote for the mid-term elections. I’m happy with the results though I’m not happy to see Perry as govenor still. He’s been around for ten years and now another four? We’ll be ready for new blood for sure in four years.
I guess I was tired Friday night. I slept through most of the Stars game. I love dozing during hockey, though. It’s so soothing. 🙂 Of course, when the game was over I was wide-awake and didn’t get to sleep until well after midnight. Figures.
This weekend, we went to see Megamind. It was really cute with lots of funny moments. Will Ferrell is perfect as Megamind. So funny! We also had dinner at Boston’s that night and it was delicious. We all enjoyed it. Got up early Sunday thanks to the time change. I took advantage of the extra hour and started laundry early and then gave the house a good scrubbing. It was in desperate need. I cleaned the bathrooms (including scrubbing the shower), dusted, mopped, vacuumed… it smelled SO much better in the house after that. Pine-Sol is awesome. Then the Man and I went grocery shopping (ugh) and when we got home, I put on a pot of black-eyed peas then oven-roasted a pork tenderloin. Tasty!
Then we watched some football. It was a lovely day really, despite all the cleaning.
As for the cat… he shunned the new litter box that cost $35. So back to the store we went and bought one for $15 and changed the litter. So far so good. He’s used it. Hopefully he’ll continue to use it. Otherwise, we’ll be making a trip to the vet this week. Not my favorite thing.
Can’t believe it’s Monday already. Even with the added hour, time still flies!
