Grouchy

I freely admit I’m a crab. Mostly because I haven’t been sleeping well and things aren’t going as planned (nothing on the personal front – mostly on the business front). So I’m cranky.

However, I *have* been writing. Nearly 2000 words a day. So it’s been great progress. And I had two major breakthroughs with my characters yesterday. You’d think 40k in I would know the major backstory of them, but I didn’t. So I kept writing, knowing it would come to me. I know it’s strange to write that way, but it works for me because I’m totally NOT a plotter. I know that’s going to have to change some day. Anyway, I know the prologue will have to be totally rewritten and that’s okay. I expected that anyway. I always expect a fair amount of revision and I’m only in the first spit-it-out draft.

I think I’m nearing the 50k mark in the book so I’m over halfway there. I really should update my word meters, eh?
