I’ve been a busy bee. Yesterday, my regular post over at Plotting Princesses was up where I talk about the decision I made to write full-time. I hope you’ll find it as inspirational as others did. Check it out here.
I was also a guest at Paranormal Romance Fans For Life. This is a great blog for paranormal romance readers. I talk about my love of movies there, so be sure to leave a comment and follow the blog.
Since I’m doing this full-time gig now, I’ve had to figure out the schedule of my day. In the mornings, I usually do blog things. I’ve scheduled a whole lot of them to promote for me upcoming. Which is great because I actually have time to do that now. I make a to-do list every morning of the things I want to accomplish and stick to it. I’ve also started a progress tracker where I can keep track of everything I’m doing during the day. Sort of like a timesheet. I guess you can take the girl out of Corporate, but you can’t take Corporate out of the girl. 😉 Plus, it really keeps me honest. I’ve found it helps me see exactly what I’m doing everything. I guess I need the visual.
I’m currently rewriting the “girl in the brothel” book I started last summer and finished up in early fall. A funny thing happened while rewriting–I realized this is a shifter book. My first one. Sniff. A tear. Seriously, though, I had no idea I’d be writing about wolves and stuff so I had to do a little research on the matter. I like the story, though, and the characters finally gel with each other. And by that I mean the heroine is finally with the right in the story and the hero is not the hero of the story after all. I got about 1700 words revised yesterday. Most of that is new material.
I have some other opinions I’d like to share with you, but I that’s going to have to wait. I need to get on with the day. I have more revision to do, some guest posts to write, and brainstorming for a novella.
