Monthly Update: Hello, August!
I cannot believe how fast this year is going! And it’s AUGUST which means I’m about a month out from my trip of a lifetime (or Castle-mania as the husband calls it) to Scotland. I canna wait, ye ken?
Anyway. Here are my writing world stats for the month of July!
- I wrote 14 days out of the month
- I wrote a total of 21,481 words (did not meet my 30,000 word goal)
- My current WIP is Desiring the Highland Laird, which is the first book in the Highland Destiny series that will be published next fall by Dragonblade. Super excited about this one!
- I completed a contracted narration project!
- I scheduled newsletters for my next release (Aug 13)
- I scheduled social media posts for the new releases and upcoming ones
- I launched a new Facebook Reader’s Group
- And I started to learn Facebook ads by going through the Click Testing Ad course
Oh, and the husband and I closed on our two acres in East Texas. It’s been a busy month!

- Once Upon True Love’s Kiss releases on Aug 13!
- More writing!
- More ads!
- I’ll be at the McKinney Literary Fest on Aug 17 and 18. You can see me and other local authors on the 10 am Sunday panel about Publishing and the Book Industry. I’ll also be selling paperbacks!
I don’t think anyone reads these posts but it’s still fun to write up all my accomplishments. LOL
