Hello, Dexter

I would like to introduce you to Dexter. He’s going to be staying with us for a couple of weeks to see if he likes us. 🙂

We went to a cat adoption at the local pet store this past weekend. I had already filled out the paperwork and had several picked out to see. Dexter was one of them. He was a cat that was homeless and just showed up in a neighborhood one day, fed by all. Someone finally took him to the rescue place.

Since the Man has allergies, we need to see if he can stand to be around the cat for any length of time before we go through the final adoption. This place is unique in that they will let us have a “sleepover” for a couple of weeks to make sure it’s going to work out okay. So we’re trying each other on for size.

Dexter is really laid back and about 2 years old. He’s not real talkative but he does talk some. He likes looking outside and taking cat naps in the sun. So far we’re getting along okay. He mostly likes to hide under the bed. I think he’s just getting used to his surroundings. He’s pretty inquisitive. Hopefully it will all work out.

So we did that yesterday plus some other shopping.

Oh and watched the Texas Rangers advance to the World Series. Yeah, baby! Two years in a row!

I’m actually thinking about putting some things in layaway for Christmas for the kiddo. Hard to believe Christmas is so close!
