Quote du Jour:
I don’t know. I’m making this up as I go.

*heavy sigh* What can I say…it’s Monday again. :plain:
There are two nice things about today – I get to leave work early for a doctor’s appointment for my son and I got to sleep in until 6:15 because DH is home today (the bum).
Tonight we’re having a cookout and the in-laws are coming over. Tomorrow is DH’s birthday and we’re going to celebrate a little early. I spot cleaned yesterday and got the house ready for the small gathering. I still haven’t gone birthday shopping for him yet but I know what I’m getting. He keeps tossing out ideas, just in case I still needed one.
Uh huh. I know what I’m getting him and I’m not changing. For once, he’s going to be surprised. Which means I have a good chance of him hating what I get him.
Today I simply must find time to work on the serial. I have to. I know I’m falling behind. But, frankly, I always produce when I have to and I’m getting kind of tired of the mass emails saying “if this doesn’t apply to you, please ignore.†Why not just send an email to the offenders instead of lumping us all into one group? 😛
Oh well. I will be ending the serial with issue 126, no matter what. I’m close to finishing. I just need to wrap up this current story arc, bring them home, and then final it out. I have the ending written (Scener!). I just need to GET there.
Didn’t write a word this weekend, but I guess that’s okay.
I did get my press release out about the ending of the romance serial. It should be approved today and sent out tomorrow. I’ll post the link when it’s available.
The more I get scolded, whether or not it “applies to me” to less I want to sit down and do the work.
Yeah, that sounds highly annoying, imo.
I didn’t write a word this weekend, either. Too busy enjoying it. There ARE other things besides Writing, aren’t there? 🙄
I gave up on surprise presents for my husband years ago. He never liked them and it just so disappointing, not fun. I just tell him to go get something now and he gets his own. Not very fun either, but not as bad as getting a surprise he doesn’t like!
It’s the other way around at my house. I love going and finding what I want and telling my DH not to bother I have already bought my present. But I still make him buy my birthday cake! I tell him what kind I would like to have and it has to come from a bakery – not Albertson’s or Kroger’s, but a REAL bakery! That always freaks him out and it is so funny! I hear every year “I don’t know where there are any REAL bakeries! Duh! How about last year’s? :wall: But he does make it a point to buy me a beautiful card each year.
