Progress Update: No new words on the scifi (rats) but 16 pages read and hand-edited (the first two chapters) of the contemporary. This working on two different stories is, um, kind of hard. Blurb is done and I’m contemplating the synopsis, my least favorite part of writing.
Yesterday was a flat-out, hands-down weird day. Just WEIRD. By noon, I was ready to toss the whole day out the window and start again. Which meant it would be Thursday and one more day closer to Friday/pay day. I felt like poo all day long. For whatever reason, my stomach has been disagreeable with just about everything I eat. It doesn’t like healthy OR unhealthy food. And believe me, I’ve tried both. It’s being cantakerous.
Some other stressful things happened and by the end of the day I was literally ready to shoot my face off. Of course I didn’t. Instead I spent about 45 minutes playing Mahjongg Dimensions on Facebook. I’m bad, I know. But I totally needed the brainless activity.
Oh, and Lara, thank you for introducing me to Plants vs. Zombies. My kid and I are both addicted. 😀
Anyway, I’m glad Wednesday is over and done with.
I also noticed yesterdy I was having difficulty reading the computer screen. I caught myself squinting at it more than once which means it’s time for an eye check which also means I will most likely have to buy some sort of eye wear. Crap. I want my 25-year-old eyes back, please.
We’re supposed to get some more rain today and through the weekend. Supposed to be some high winds. It’s Tornado Season!
All right tired of straining my eyes here. I’m off to work!
The great thing about yesterday being over is that you never have to live it exactly the same way again.
I have to get my eyes checked, too. In the interim, I go up into “view” and then “zoom in” which makes everything bigger on the screen I’m reading. Helps a lot.
I honestly think staring at a computer all day long wreaks havoc on the eyes. It could be eye strain. But yes, you should get checked out. Squinting is always an indicator.
