72 days to go until Bahama Time!
I seem to be in a rut. Maybe it’s because I have something big to look foward to in 72 days (grin). I’m in a shoe rut. A clothes rut. A work rut. A life rut. I get up. Do the same thing every morning. The routine never deviates. I go to work. Have lunch. Race home. Cook dinner. Help Kid with homework. Cross-stitch. Read pages. Blog. Go to bed. Start all over.
sigh
I printed the last 35 pages of the book last night. I should get through reading them today and then I can start making the final changes and ship it off to my critique partners. I don’t think it’s all that much better and I hesitate to resubmit it. In fact, after reading it again, I think it’s a giant piece of crap. π I wonder sometimes how I managed to get published. My work stinks. (Yes, I know these are the doubt demons talking. I’ll be fine in a few days. Promise.)
Anyway, I have to be finished tomorrow because Friday night we have tickets to the Rangers game and we can’t wait! Saturday the Kid has a haircut and we have to do some light grocery shopping and I don’t know what else is on the agenda. Hopefully a whole lot of nothing. As soon as I send out the revision to my CPs, though, I’m going to get back to my time travel and see if I can get that finished up for the first ground of critiques.
And that’s about all I got today. I’m glad the week is nearly finished. I’m ready for the weekend. So I won’t be in my week-day rut. Just my weekend rut. π
My rut is more like a CANYON. Hopefully we’ll break free soon!

No such thing as a shoe rut. Snap out of it, girlfriend! π
